Athletics and Recreation, in Student Affairs, encompasses the Dalplex and other athletic facilities on the Halifax campus, which serves Dalhousie students and staff as well as the local community, varsity athletics, intramurals, clubs and rental clients. Reporting to the Director, Facility and Business Services, the Manager, Client Experience provides operational expertise and leadership, planning and day-to-day management to ensure the delivery of outstanding client experience.
- Ensure all membership documentation is complete, accurate and cross-referenced with the corresponding information in Athletics & Recreations’ enterprise management software, Fusion. Serve as subject matter expert and trainer in the use and application of Fusion for Client Experience staff.
- Ensure all staff are able to locate and disseminate up-to-date and accurate information on the unit’s services, facilities, programs, events, etc., and trained to execute all associated transactions.
- Regularly review unit compliance with privacy legislation and ensure the secure storage of all personal and financial records of clients, staff and the department.
- Prepare annual unit budget as well as monthly status reports and forecasting. Review all anomalies related to financial transactions of the Client Experience staff.
- Manage three Customer Service Centre Supervisors and assist with the management of all Client Experience casual student staff.
Note: Due to the extended operational hours of the department, flexible hours and on-call availability may be required to assist the client experience team members and to participate in promotional and other events.
Qualifications: Undergraduate degree in business administration, with approximately three years related experience (or equivalent combination of training and experience). Experience in a management role, including experience managing budgets, is required. Must have demonstrated experience using technical sales and tracking software (e.g. Fusion), preferably in a sport and/or recreational facility. Experience managing membership and customer service operations in fitness and/or sport businesses is preferred. Must have proven communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills with a wide variety of stakeholders. Demonstrated initiative with the ability to work independently is required.

Salary Range: $43,383 - $58,695 per annum (ADM-04) This is a two (2) year term position. This is a provisional classification. Formal classification procedures will be initiated by the Compensation & Job Evaluation Unit in approximately six months.
