The University of Fredericton (UFred) is a fully-online university based out of Fredericton, NB. UFred was founded on the notion that education should be driven by the needs of today's learners. The fully-online, no-residency required model of education that UFred offers is designed specifically for online delivery that is applied and relevant. The LMS Administrator, reporting to the Manager of Development will provide direct and online support to faculty, students and staff on a wide range of operational and technical issues in their use of our campus platform, Moodle and other University programs. The position plays an important role in managing the customer service relationship between Faculty and University Services by ensuring requests for assistance are handled in a timely, efficient, professional and friendly manner.

Primary Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with a talented team of Instructional Designers, Solution Designers and Solution Architects to develop custom, cross platform learning solutions
- Creation and maintenance of existing courses on internal systems
- Creating user accounts for students/clients and delivering login information
- Update and improve existing courses as required
- Ensure work meets all quality standards
What you'll need
Qualifications
Employment Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer systems engineering, software engineering, business administration or a related discipline; or completion of a college program in computer science, or equivalent education and experience.
- Technology Requirements: Moodle (additional training will be provided), Cisco WebEx, Microsoft Office Suite
- Programming Languages: HTML, CSS
- Ability to take initiative in conducting job responsibilities, and work effectively in a team environment
- Effective problem-solving and technical trouble-shooting skills
- Ability to work individually in a goal oriented environment is essential
- Ability to schedule work and plan to meet deadlines is essential
- Ability to communicate effectively and create great working relationships with all levels within the company and across multiple disciplines

Hours of Work
This is a full-time position (37.5 hours) during normal working hours, occasional nights and weekends may be required.
