The College is currently seeking a dynamic and competent individual for the position of Learning Design Consultant. This is a Term employment opportunity from February 2023 to February 2025 with the possibility of extension or of becoming regular, based at any NBCC location.

What you'll do

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Head, Curriculum and Online Development, you will be responsible for reviewing and revising curriculum and on line-courses to ensure they map to NBCC Quality Standards and providing expertise in curriculum design and development. You will work closely with the Dean of an assigned School and other Learning Design Consultants to ensure that curriculum for existing programs is revised as NBCC moves to a new credit model. You will also review and renew essential employability skills and competencies across all NBCC programs.

We are looking for a team player with excellent collaborative, consultative and communication skills, attention to detail, and with experience and knowledge of curriculum development processes and competency-based learning.

What you'll need

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education or another related field.
  • Recent and related experience, which includes experience developing curriculum and. instructional design materials.
  • Preference may be given to candidates with experience working in a related role in a post-secondary environment.

Candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet these qualifications on their resumes.

Other combinations of education and experience may be considered as equivalent. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be raised.

This position is a unionized position where the terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the NBUPPE - Education (Consultative and Development) agreement for the College.
