NBCC is currently seeking dynamic and competent individuals for (3) Learning Design Consultant positions. These term positions range in length from October 2020 - August 27, 2022 and from November 2020- October 29, 2022.

2 to be based in Saint John, 1 to be based in any campus location, or Fredericton Head Office.

Responsibilities

Learning Design Consultant (E-Learning): Reporting to the Manager of Curriculum Development and working with subject matter experts, the Learning Design Consultant (e-learning) will be responsible for providing technical expertise to assist professionals in the area of preparing and revising e-learning courses. Supports projects internally using MS Project and is responsible for tasks and assignments associated with the preparation of online delivery. The e-learning design will involve creating, revising and maintaining e-learning using various software (Adobe Captivate, Storyline, Lectora and Camtasia); and building custom interactions using script, java script, etc.

We are looking for a team player with excellent collaborative, consultative and communication skills with experience and knowledge of instructional design processes; developing accessible e-learning modules; scorm compliant learning management systems (D2L) and in using Project Management tools.

Learning Design Consultant: Reporting to the Head of Curriculum and Online Development, the Learning Design Consultant is responsible for assisting in the design and development of educational solutions ranging from curriculum and delivery standards for NBCC programs to instructional materials, to online development in support of NBCC's strategic commitments. The Learning Design Consultant will design and develop curriculum to support learning outcomes for NBCC programs with focus on flexible delivery frameworks to meet industry and student needs.

The successful candidates will be team players with excellent collaborative, consultative and communication skills, who have substantial knowledge of instructional design methodologies and processes, preferably in a post-secondary environment.

Qualifications

Qualifications required for this opportunity include a Bachelor's Degree in Education or other related field and a minimum of six (6) years of related experience, which includes three (3) years' experience developing curriculum, instructional design materials and online courses

Written and spoken competence in English is required.

Preference may be given to candidates with experience working in a related role in a post-secondary environment.

Other combinations of education and experience may be considered as equivalent. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be raised.

NBCC offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package that includes a competitive salary for this position ranging from $2,489 to $2,876 bi-weekly. This position is a unionized position where the terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the Educational (Consultation and Development) collective agreement for the Colle,ge.
