What you'll do

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Vice President, Strategy and Stakeholder Engagement, the Lean Six Sigma Lead is responsible for leading the improvement of NBCC's curriculum design process through the application of NBCC's Lean Six Sigma Continuous Improvement methodology.

Specifically, the Lean Six Sigma Lead will facilitate continuous improvement projects using NBCC's Lean Six Sigma methodology including, but not limited to, training and orienting those new to continuous improvement; recommending and soliciting involvement by relevant individuals in targeted process improvement projects; supporting clients in developing a culture of continuous improvement and in delivering tangible and sustainable results using Lean methodologies; leading on-site engagement teams using core project management skills; establishing trust-based client relationships across all levels and providing leadership, direction, and guidance to senior and executive stakeholders.

Qualifications

Required qualifications for this opportunity include a diploma in business, education, or a related field and a minimum of seven (7) years of recent and related work experience including two (2) years of experience facilitating projects or leading teams; OR a degree in business, education, or a related field with a minimum of five (5) years of recent and related work experience including two (2) years of experience facilitating projects or leading teams. In addition, candidates must possess a Lean Six Sigma certification (yellow, green, or black belt). An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to plan and manage multiple tasks, are also requirements of this position.

Candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet these qualifications on their resumes.

Written and spoken competence in English is required.

Other combinations of education and experience may be considered as equivalent. Preference may be given to candidates with a black belt in Lean Six Sigma. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be raised.

NBCC offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package that includes a competitive annual salary for this position ranging from $49,374 to $69,056. This position is a non-union position where the terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with management/non-union policies.
