Dash Hudson is a visual marketing platform built for discerning brands. Our software provides brands with the a one-stop solution to create, source, measure, and enhance the engagement of their photos and videos on Instagram and Pinterest.
We work with some of the raddest companies in the world including Amazon, Apple, Conde Nast, Glossier, Kylie Cosmetics, REVOLVE, Away, and NBC.
As the Junior Accountant, you are important to the growth and evolution of Dash Hudson's finance department. Reporting directly to the CFO, the Junior Accountant will own client services for receivables and payables. You will manage and help improve key processes. What you'll do
Responsibilities
- Maintain financial records
- Own accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Track every detail of our customer transactions to create smarter reports
- Help implement new software to improve process - Manage commission tracking for the sales department
- Help develop accounting controls with financial legal requirements of Canada and our client countries (ie US, UK)
- Participate in educational opportunities and reading publications related to your role
- Be a partner in the payroll process and review of employee expenses
- Work together with our external bookkeepers and audit partners
- Maintain quality control on certain financial department outputs
- Ability to read and understand legal contracts with customers
- Learn to review cash flow and financial statements
- Help recommend financial actions through analysis of documents - Work with team to build forecasting tools
What you'll need
Qualifications
- 1-3 years experience in a similar role
- A degree in commerce with a focus in accounting
- Interest in pursuing your CPA designation
