Reporting to the Director - IT Portfolio Delivery, the IT Project Team Lead is responsible for leading, directing and providing guidance to a team that provides solutions to business needs that merge business process and enterprise-level software. The Team Lead is responsible for the quality and appropriateness of the solutions designed, and for the planning of the work of the team to ensure that software solutions meet business needs.

This role provides oversight for the implementation of application and data-related software solutions to meet business opportunities and challenges. The Team Lead must also effectively communicate relevant details of complex technical and business logic processes to all levels of the organization in written, oral, and presentation formats. They will provide strong leadership, coaching and mentoring to a team of 3 to 4 Business Systems Analysts.

Qualifications

As a qualified candidate you will have:

  • A University degree in IT or Business and/or relevant discipline, with a business software focus
  • Experience at the Team Lead level in the management of enterprise level software solution implementation
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring a team
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Hands-on experience in the following in a software implementation context: requirements gathering and documentation, business process mapping, test planning and execution, stakeholder group facilitation
  • Familiarity with standard SDLC concepts and practices

As an ideal candidate you will have:

  • At least 3 to 5 years of experience in designing and implementing business solutions and/or business process optimization
  • Our projects cover a wide range of technologies, so experience in any of the following would be considered an asset
    • An SAP environment or similar enterprise solution
    • SAP SucessFactors or other HRIS cloud solutions
    • Web-based solutions such as Sitecore, WebSphere or other large-scale online software implementations
  • Knowledge of project management concepts and techniques
