We are currently hiring for an ISO Program Manager. This regular opportunity, in the Regulatory Compliance Services Department, has full time hours.

As an ISO Program Manager, you will:

  • Develop programs and systems to improve the overall performance of water, wastewater, and stormwater systems and facilities to meet or exceed legislated and corporate environmental and safety objectives.
  • Provide leadership to Halifax Water staff by coordinating and integrating cross-departmental projects, programs, and initiatives to ensure compliance and protection of employee and public health and safety and the environment.
  • Lead and guide other departments and programs to obtain ISO certification or ISO ready status as required.
  • Provide support and integration with the Comprehensive Emergency Response Plan, related initiatives, and ISO Programs.

To do this job, you need to have:

  • Post-Secondary degree or diploma with a focus in Environmental Studies, Engineering Sciences, Water Resources or related discipline (suitable combination of formal education and experience may be considered).
  • Minimum five years of progressively responsible related experience in a municipal and/or environmental field, including direct supervisory experience.
  • Experience in conducting audits would be an asset.
  • A Civil Engineering Technologist (CET), Professional Engineer, or other related designation.
  • A Valid Nova Scotia Driver's License.
  • ISO Internal Audit Training/Certification would be considered an asset.
