Under the supervision of the Manager of International Student Centre, the International Student Advisor - Student Engagement participates in the development and delivery of programs and services and promotes positive interaction and integration of international students into the academic and social life of the University. The International Student Advisor - Student Engagement is responsible for maintaining a welcoming and respectful environment for international students and facilitates opportunities for Canadian students to have intercultural experience. The position also assists the Manager in advising the University's international students. 

This position is considered a Maternity Leave Contract with the University. Salary will be $46,000 annually.

Qualifications

As the ideal candidate, you will be an effective and thoughtful communicator with a willingness to build on the delivery of high quality student experiences. Your intercultural awareness, will be complemented by an Undergraduate degree plus a minimum of two (2) years of directly related experience. In particular, a high degree of professional, strong organizational and presentation skills, and a proficiency in MS Office is required. Experience at a Canadian post-secondary institution and with Banner are considered assets. Knowledge of a second language would be considered an asset
