Salary Range: $2,454.00 to $3,458.00 biweekly. Successful candidates may be eligible for a higher maximum step, up to $3,776.00 biweekly, based on their level of post-secondary education.
What you'll do
Responsibilities
You will be collaborating with and reporting to the Academic Chair of Allied Health, as a member of the faculty team, you are responsible for planning and preparing instructional materials and resources; establishing and managing a positive learning environment; instructing and evaluating students; building and sustaining professional relationships with students, colleagues, community partners, and stakeholders; as well as other related duties.
Specific instructional areas may include, but may not be limited to:
The successful candidate will have the knowledge, skills and abilities to teach Pharmacy Technician students and will be committed to the education of pharmacy technicians, who will fulfill the National Association of Pharmacy Regulatory Authorities (NAPRA) professional competencies for entry to practice and pursue certification by the Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada (PEBC). The candidate will work with students up to entry to practice where new graduates are able to provide patient-focused pharmaceutical care while working alongside pharmacists as a member of the integrated health care team.
Areas of teaching will include but will not be limited to:
- Community Pharmacy Practice
- Hospital and Institutional Pharmacy Practice
- Mathematical problem solving
- Pharmacy Computer Software
- Sterile and Non-sterile Compounding
The successful incumbent will be willing and able to integrate technology and active student learning techniques into teaching practices. They will be responsible for planning and preparing instructional materials and resources; establishing and managing a positive learning environment; instructing and evaluating students; building and sustaining professional relationships with students, colleagues, community partners and stakeholders, as well as other related duties.

Qualifications
Education/Experience:
- A Diploma in Pharmacy Technician from a CCAPP accredited program and a minimum of three (3) years of recent, practical experience in a hospital pharmacy setting.
- A valid active direct license issued by the New Brunswick College of Pharmacists; and a minimum of three (3) years of recent, practical experience in a hospital pharmacy setting.
- The successful candidate will be required to provide proof of immunization and criminal background check with vulnerable sector screening.
- Experience working in hospital pharmacy, certification in sterile preparations in hospital, and a willingness to maintain active direct hours in a hospital pharmacy
- Highly flexible with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to navigate and build relationships effectively throughout the organization.

Assets:
- Preference may be given to candidates who have experience teaching in a post-secondary environment.

Other combinations of education and experience may be considered as equivalent. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be raised.
