NBCC is currently seeking a dynamic and competent individual for the position of Community College Instructor. This is a Regular Part-time position.

What you'll do

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Department Head, as a member of the faculty team, you are responsible for planning and preparing instructional materials and resources, establishing and managing a positive learning environment, instructing and evaluating students, building and sustaining professional relationships with students, colleagues, community partners, and stakeholders, as well as other related duties.

Specific instructional areas and courses within the program may include, but are not limited to: human resources strategies, job organization and design, recruitment and selection, training and development, performance management systems, compensation and benefits, employee and labour relations, and managing occupational health and safety in the workplace. The successful incumbent will be willing and able to integrate technology and active student learning techniques into teaching practices. You will also plan, evaluate and monitor student practicum placements.

Qualifications

Required qualifications for this opportunity include a degree in business or social sciences or a related field with a minimum of three (3) years of recent and related work experience; OR a two-year diploma in business or human resources management with a minimum of five (5) years of recent and related work experience; OR a certificate in human resources management with seven (7) years of recent and related work experience. Candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet these qualifications on their resumes.

Written and spoken competence in English is required.

A strong preference may be given to those who possess the Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation or to those who have experience teaching in a post-secondary education environment.

Other combinations of education and experience may be considered as equivalent. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be raised.

NBCC offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package that includes a competitive hourly rate for this position ranging from is $27.35 to $38.54. Successful candidates may be eligible for a higher maximum step, up to $42.08 hourly, based on their level of post-secondary education. This position is a unionized position where the terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the New Brunswick Union of Public and Private Employees collective agreement (Education - Instructional Group) for the College.
