NBCC is currently seeking a dynamic and competent individual for the position of Community College Instructor, Administrative Professional: Health Services Program located at our Moncton campus location. What you'll do


Collaborating with and reporting to the Academic Chair- Administrative Professional, and as a member of the faculty team, you are responsible for planning and preparing instructional materials and resources; establishing and managing a positive learning environment; instructing and evaluating students; building and sustaining professional relationships with students, colleagues, community partners, and stakeholders; as well as other related duties.

Specific instructional areas and courses within the program may include but are not limited to:

  • Medical Terminology
  • Medical Office Procedures/ Office Simulation
  • Health Unit Operations
  • Medical Transcription & Medical Billing

You will be responsible for planning of course delivery and other related duties. The successful incumbent will be willing and able to integrate technology and active student learning techniques into teaching practices and be flexible in adapting to new technologies as well as instructing in a variety of subject areas. You may be involved in the planning, evaluation and monitoring of student practicum placements.

What you'll need


  • A minimum of one-year certificate in a Medical Administrative Professional program with a preferred minimum of five (5) years of recent and related working experience;
  • OR a Bachelor's degree in Education and/or Arts in a related discipline and a preferred minimum of three (3) years of recent and related working experience.

Preference should be given to candidates who:

  • Have experience teaching in a post-secondary environment and/or to those who have a Medical Administrative Professional background.
  • Have experience in Hospital environment particularly in Patient's Scheduling or Order Entry.

Other combinations of education and experience may be considered as equivalent. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be raised.
