What you'll do

Responsibilities

Collaborating with and reporting to the Academic Chair, School of IT & Natural Resources, as a member of the faculty team, you are responsible for planning and preparing instructional materials and resources; establishing and managing a positive learning environment; instructing and evaluating students; building and sustaining professional relationships with students, colleagues, community partners, and stakeholders; as well as other related duties.

Specific instructional areas may include, but may not be limited to:

  • Project Management
  • Business Case Development
  • Business Process Modeling
  • Information Technology and Information System Essentials
  • User Interface (UX) Design
  • Use Case Creation
  • Strategies for Seeking Employment
  • Data Modeling
  • Data Analysis and Presentation (Excel)
  • Requirement elicitation and writing
  • Change Management
  • Facilitation, Negotiation and Decision Making
  • Quality Assurance Testing

What you'll need

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Business Analysis or related field with a minimum of 3 years related work experience
  • Excellent organization skills, ability to manage competing priorities
  • Communication, Presentation and Business Writing skills
  • An understanding of the project life cycle
  • System development lifecycle, and where business analysis fits within them
  • Experience in requirement elicitation and technical writing.

Other combinations of education and experience may be considered as equivalent. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be raised. All applicants must be eligible to work in Canada at the time of application. This competition may be used to fill future vacancies at the same level.

Preference may be given to candidates who have experience working in a post-secondary environment.

You will be required to teach students in classroom, as well as virtually. You will be willing and able to integrate technology and active student learning techniques into teaching practices.
