NBCC is currently seeking a dynamic and competent individual for the position of Casual Continuing Education Instructor, French as a Second Language.

This position will be for 6 hours per week from October 2019 to June 2020.

What you'll do

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Business Development Manager, you are responsible for planning and preparing instructional materials; establishing and managing a positive learning environment; instructing and evaluating students; and building and sustaining professional relationships with students and colleagues. This course will be for 6 hours per week for a total of 45 hours and is taught in the evening, normally from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM, one or two evenings a week. The hourly rate of pay for this position is $21.00.

Qualifications

Required qualifications for this opportunity include a high school diploma, or equivalency, plus appropriate experience speaking and/or teaching/tutoring others to speak French. Please include a sample of your writing abilities in French along with your application. Candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet these qualifications on their resume.

Written and spoken competence in French and English is required.

Preference may be given to candidates with experience working in a post-secondary environment and to candidates who have completed at least one year of education in post-secondary environment.
