The Instructional Systems Design (ISD) Specialist develops and performs life-cycle support of CH148 training documentation and courseware materials. The ISD is responsible for managing the development and revision of training products as well as assists with the analysis and update of CH148 operator and maintainer training documentation. ISD support activities include; courseware reviews, Training Program Support Cell (TPSC) Lead support as well as work estimates and proposed schedules for ECPs with impact on training. The ISD also perform systems administration tasks of CH148 TIMS LMS and LCMS applications to include metadata tagging tasks as required for proper training documentation and courseware configuration management functions.

What you'll do

Responsibilities

  • Perform development and/or revision of the CH148 training documentation and courseware as required by scheduled for training deliveries.
  • Develop and/or revise CH148 training documentation and courseware as required including test documentation development and conduct as appropriate.
  • Assess courseware drafts against a provided standard and provide feedback for improvement
  • Assist in the development of course critique feedback reports/metrics formatted for use by both DND and Sikorsky on a regularly schedule basis or as requested
  • Assist in the development or revision of performance metrics for positive and negative trend analysis for work in progress on a regularly schedule basis or as requested
  • Assist in the development or revision of instructional delivery related Program Management Instructions (PMIs).
  • Interface with other ISS Integrated Product teams as required to ensure scheduled deliveries.
  • Provide status of all aspects of product schedule status, work and issues as required facilitating program status updates for ISS management both in ad-hoc and scheduled fashion as appropriate.
  • Produce clear, concise, accurate and well-organized documentation as required

What you'll need

Qualifications

  • Two (2) or more years' experience developing instructional courseware in a technical software environment or two (2) or more years' experience in developing lesson plans
  • Be able to obtain and maintain a NATO Secret clearance level
  • Proven ability to plan and problem solve
  • Attention to detail
  • Understanding of Military customs and courtesies would be an asset.
  • Ability to follow direction under minimal supervision
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Possess working knowledge of computer software applications, specifically Learning Logics and SharePoint
  • Proven ability to collaborate, build and maintain positive and professional working relationships
  • Proven ability to make sound and timely decisions; strong judgment skills
  • Ability to work well with others in a dynamic environment
