Under the supervision of the Director, Strategy and Accreditation, the Information Assistant, Accreditation, provides administrative and secretarial support related to accreditation and quality initiatives and the execution of strategic initiatives. The position will organize data and information in support of quality initiatives including the processes necessary to successfully maintain the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accreditation. The position will organize meetings and events. In the event that staff are working remotely, or asked to work remotely, during an event that does not allow staff to be on campus physically, job duties must be maintained or adjusted where possible to accommodate working in a virtual environment and maintaining student support.

The Information Assistant works out of the Sobey School of Business and reports to the Director, Strategy & Accreditation.

Union affiliation for this position is with the Bargaining Unit 79. The position is evaluated at a Group Four (4) (salary range $33,283 - $38,202). Salary scale can be viewed here.

Qualifications

To be the successful Information Assistant, Accreditation you will have completed high school plus a one (1) year Community College business or office administration course and have a minimum of one (1) year of related experience. Strong organizational skills and ability to function independently and as part of a team, along with strong communication and listening skills and cross-cultural working experience are all required in this position. Additionally, the successful candidate will have proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and will have experience with virtual conferencing platforms such as Teams, Zoom. The successful candidate will have demonstrated professional presence, demeanour and judgement/discretion. Ability to work virtually and experience in handling and maintaining confidential material will round out your qualifications as the successful candidate. Working in a University environment or comparable setting is considered an asset.
