FACULTY OF MANAGEMENT

The International Business and Entrepreneurship Centre (IBEC) is an integral part of the Faculty of Management. The Centre aims to develop and support entrepreneurial leadership among students by conceptualizing and facilitating the delivery of experiential programs such as the Venture Capital Program, and through the hosting of events such as the Apex Startup Challenge, UNB Data Challenge and Speaker Series.

Salary Range: $44,904 - $56,128 per annum

YOUR FOCUS

Reporting to the Manager, International Business & Entrepreneurship Centre, the IBEC Program Coordinator works closely with faculty who are involved in the direct delivery of courses, other administrative offices, and with other entrepreneurial-focused units on campus. This position also collaborates with various external partners.

  • Coordinate all aspects of event planning and design including sponsorship, event logistics, communications and networking with stakeholders and supporters.
  • Manage IBEC's social media accounts and regularly post relevant content to generate strong awareness of IBEC's work.
  • Update the IBEC website.
  • Write content for media (e.g. media releases, articles).
  • Create and distribute regular IBEC newsletter.
  • Create and update marketing collateral and templates.
  • Manage the IBEC email accounts daily. Respond to all email and phone queries quickly.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably BBA or a related field.
  • Experiential courses in entrepreneurship and suitable entrepreneurship-related work experience.

  • Excellent organizational skills, superior judgement, strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent relationship building skills, team builder, goal- and detail-oriented.
  • Experience in organizing and managing special events.
  • Experience in working closely in a team setting.
