Offering deep energy retrofits including EPC's (energy performance contracting), energy consulting and audits, specialty projects, building automation systems (BAS), design-build construction projects, bid/spec construction, and customized maintenance and service plans - we are a leader in our regional service areas of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland.
POSITION
Reporting to the Sales Manager, in the role of Sales Engineer, you will be a key contributor in a multi-disciplinary team where you will lead bid/spec construction efforts for Halifax and the surrounding area. You will also design and develop scopes of work and help estimate HVAC and energy efficiency retrofits in commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings.
As an experienced industry professional, you will work our existing accounts and help develop new accounts, as well as actually performing the estimates and writing the proposals. The position offers a nice mix of inside and outside sales, and offers the variety and challenges that the right person for this job, will be seeking.
As a technical sales person and estimator, you will use your knowledge of building automation systems to produce custom solutions and accurate estimates and proposals.

What you'll need
Qualifications
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Strong team player.
· Mechanical Engineering or College Diploma with 3+ years of relevant experience. Member of a professional engineering association is considered an asset.
· Previous experience in estimating, engineering and construction of Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) and building automation systems (BAS).
· Energy modelling experience is considered an asset.
· Knowledge of applicable codes and standards - such as CSA, ASHRAE, Provincial and National Building Codes, etc.
· Strong organization skills and exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Highly meticulous nature and strong attention to detail.
· Ability to manage competing priorities. Ability to work on multiple concurrent projects.
· Excellent English language and business communication skills.
· Strong computer skills, such as Microsoft 365, and other software. Experience with Carrier HAP software is considered an asset.
· Valid driver's license / abstract and criminal background check.
· Mobility including travel within the Maritimes. Must have a reliable mode of transportation.
