We are currently seeking an experienced Manager of Human Resources in our Halifax, NS office. Reporting to the Managing Director of Administrative Professional Resources you will support our staff talent group across six offices.

What you'll do

Responsibilities

Your focus will be on continuously enhancing the employment experience for staff members at the firm. To accomplish this, you will manage and evolve programs such as our engagement, professional development and wellness programs. You will provide advice and coaching to managers on building positive employee relations, developing talent and optimizing team performance. You will seek out opportunities to enhance the support provided to employees and managers through proactive communication, collaboration and process improvement.
 

What you'll need

Qualifications

As the ideal candidate, you have a minimum of five years? experience in an HR generalist capacity, preferably in a fast-paced corporate environment, and have previous management experience. You are a natural relationship builder with exceptional communication skills. You have extremely high ethics and integrity. You have fine-tuned project management skills, a continuous improvement mindset and high attention to detail. You have solid knowledge of employment legislation and occupational health and safety requirements in Atlantic Canada, strong technical proficiency, and comfort with travel. Knowledge of payroll and benefits, and having a CPHR designation, are considered assets.
