NBCC is currently seeking dynamic and competent individuals/instructors for training programs in our Heavy Construction Trades, specifically for the Heavy Equipment Operator and Mobile Crane Operator training programs, at our Miramichi campuses.

What you'll do

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Business Development Manager, you are responsible for planning and preparing instructional materials and learning content; establishing and managing a positive learning environment; instructing and evaluating students; liaising with industry partners and Apprenticeship; building and sustaining professional relationships with students and colleagues.

What you'll need

Qualifications

Required qualifications for these opportunities include:

  • High school diploma, or equivalency, plus appropriate experience in their area of expertise
  • A working knowledge of MS Office (MS Outlook, MS Word and MS Power Point)
  • Written and spoken competence in English
  • Excellent communication skills with the passion and ability to train others and share knowledge
  • Heavy Equipment Journeyman ticket, and relevant work experience (for Heavy Equipment Operator training program)
  • Mobile Crane (Lattice and Hydraulic) Red Seal certification, and relevant work experience (for Mobile Crane Operator training program)

Asset Qualifications:

  • Class 1 license
  • Previous instructional or corporate training experience
  • Spoken competence in French

Preference may be given to candidates who have experience working in a post-secondary environment and to candidates who have completed at least one-year of education in a post-secondary environment.
