Office of Experiential Education

The Office of Experiential Education provides leadership and strategic direction for UNB's Strategic Plan - Toward 2030. In collaboration with external employers, funders, & partners, we create, strengthen, and support experiential learning opportunities for all UNB students. Our mandate is to improve the quantity and quality of experiential learning opportunities for students in all faculties at UNB.

Salary Range: $50,412 - $65,523 per annum

YOUR FOCUS

Reporting to the Director, Office of Experiential Education, the Funding & Reporting Specialist provides administrative, research, and management support for external funding in the Office of Experiential Education. This position helps to manage relationships with external partners who provide funding for experiential learning opportunities. Additionally, the position manages reporting to those external partners.

  • Collect, analyze, and disseminate metrics of project success using various survey tools and other methods of collecting data.
  • Ensure alignment with UNB privacy and data security policies.
  • Develop extensive knowledge of funders' reporting requirements and timelines.
  • Create reports for external funders on a regular schedule.
  • Provide funding updates for internal audiences (i.e. President's reports to Board/Senate) as required.
  • work with the Director and staff in the Office of Experiential Education on implementation plans, developing and adhering to timelines, budgeting, deliverables, milestones, and reporting.
  • Develop visual representations of data and generate reports to communicate key findings.
  • Oversee the Funding and Reporting unit of the Office of Experiential Education.
  • Develop and meet targets and deliverables for Funding Support Unit projects.
  • Maintain and manage project management tools (Planner, Shifts, etc.) for the Funding Support Unit.
  • Support the Director, Office of Experiential Education in managing the overall administration and finances of the Office of Experiential Education

WHAT YOU BRING

  • A University degree in a related field.
  • Three to Five (3-5) years of experience in project management, financial reporting, or relationship management.

Additional Strengths

  • Master's degree would be an asset.
  • Experience in community outreach, relationship building, and/or experiential education projects is an asset.
  • Proficient with project coordination tools, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills that include excellent writing, editing, proofreading and attention to detail are required.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proven record of achieving project goals on time and produce deliverables of a high quality.
  • Able to perform in a fast-paced work environment with new challenges daily.
