Acadia seeks a Financial Student Service Representative in Student Accounts to audit, analyze, administer, and process a varied and complex range of financial transactions. Responsibilities will include:

  • Provide assistance and information to students related to their account.
  • Balance daily cash/electronic receipts and prepare deposits.
  • Negotiate student loans, external scholarships and prepare required documentation.
  • Collect on delinquent accounts.
  • Prepare required reports for Federal and Provincial student loan agencies.
  • Invoice organizations and government agencies for sponsored students.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • We are seeking a candidate who has a diploma in business or accounting combined with related financial experience. A Bachelor degree would be an asset. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams are required, knowledge of Colleague database an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service while working in an environment where the priorities frequently change, with minimal supervision, is required. 
  • Knowledge of Acadia's academic and administrative policies, as well as experience with collections, would be preferred. 
  • If required, applicants may have to work flexible hours which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required at peak times of the academic year.

THE REWARDS: Acadia offers a comprehensive benefit package in addition to a starting salary of $41,343 per annum (SEIU Clerk 3). Salary increases to $46,082 following successful completion of 6-month probation period.
