Under the general direction and supervision of the Administrative Manager, Facilities Management, the Financial Assistant provides financial and administrative support to all departments within Facilities Management through processing invoices, budget monitoring, Pcard reconciliation and vendor reconciliation. The position may work virtually or on campus as required.

The Financial Assistant works out of the Facilities Management Department and reports to the Administrative Manager, Facilities Management.

Union affiliation for this position is with Bargaining Unit 79. The position is evaluated at a Group 6 (salary range $37,797 - $44,769). Collective Agreement can be viewed here.

Qualifications

To be the successful Financial Assistant you will have graduated High School and have completed a two year Community College program with a concentration in accounting. A minimum of two (2) years of directly related experience is required for this role, retail accounting experience would be considered an asset. The successful candidate should have excellent written and oral communication, analytical and interpersonal skills and be able to work independently and collaboratively in teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, strong customer service skills and the ability to work virtually will round out your experience as the successful candidate. Experience in SCT Banner would be considered an asset.
