Acadia seeks an Executive Assistant in the Office of the Provost and Vice-President Academic to provide coordination for the day-to-day and strategic operation of the Offices of the Provost and Vice-President Academic and the Vice-Provost Students, Recruitment and Enrolment Management. The Executive Assistant will serve in an advisory capacity while providing confidential administrative services ensuring the effective and efficient workflow between these offices and the sectors they serve, as well as all internal and external clients.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • We are seeking a candidate who has proven experience delivering a high level of client service and demonstrated ability to think clearly, use sound judgement in assessing situations, and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • The successful applicant will ideally have completed a program in either office or business administration, combined with related work experience. Thorough knowledge and experience in a university administration will be considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills are essential, as is the ability to interact in a professional and collaborative manner, fostering teamwork.
  • Demonstrated ability to work to a high level of accuracy, and be flexible to regularly changing priorities is necessary, as is the need for strong analytical skills.
  • Applicants must be able to work with little supervision and willing to work a flexible schedule.
  • Must be highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.

THE REWARDS: Acadia offers a comprehensive benefit package in addition to a starting salary to commensurate with qualifications and experience in the range of $49,500 - $60,700.
