Please note there are two (2) full-time, permanent vacancies available for this position.

Under the direction of the Manager-Student Accessibility, with the Fred Smithers Centre of Support for Students with Disabilities, the Exam Access Support is responsible for test and exam accommodations, both in person and virtually, including working with students and faculty to ensure that accommodations are put in place. Provides academic skills support to students, accessibility support to faculty, and promotes inclusion of students with disabilities. Position is available for evening and weekend tests and exam invigilation. In the event that staff are working remotely, or asked to work remotely, during an event that does not allow staff to be on campus physically, job duties must be maintained or adjusted where possible to accommodate working in a virtual environment and maintaining student supports.

Group affiliation for this position is with the Administrative, Professional, Confidential (APC) Group. The position is evaluated at a Group 3 (salary range $44,212 - $56,980). Salary scale can be viewed here.

Qualifications

To be the successful Exam Access Support you will possess a/an Undergraduate degree preferably in Arts or Science and a minimum of one (1) year of directly related experience. The successful candidate should have experience using specialized software and/or adaptive technology, excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and a knowledge and understanding of disability issues. This position will require the successful candidate to have the ability to work flexible hours including Saturdays and evenings as required as well as the ability to work in a virtual environment as required.
