Salary: To commensurate with qualifications and experience in the range of $57,315 - $67,429 per annum.

Responsibilities
Acadia seeks to fill an Events Coordinator position in our Office of Advancement to assist in managing and organizing a broad range of initiatives designed to promote Acadia and the Acadia Alumni Association through top-quality internal and external events. Events may include, but are not limited to, formal dinners, receptions, presentations, ceremonies, meetings, pep-rallies, golf tournaments, conferences, tours, trips, workshops, informal social gatherings, private dinners, recognition events, multi-faceted milestone class reunions, Homecoming, awards ceremonies, virtual events, and concerts/shows.
Under the direction of the Executive Director, Alumni Affairs and in collaboration with other members of the Advancement team, the Events Coordinator will produce events from conception through to completion by participating in all aspects of event planning. This will include developing event contingency plans, planning timelines, booking venues, event technology support, partnering with volunteers, registration, event promotion, delivery, meeting customer service needs, event wrap-up and reporting.
In collaboration with members of the Advancement team, you will participate in the development and implementation of marketing strategies for events and the department. Events will be held on-line, on-campus or in locations around the globe. Events are held year-round and in multiple time zones. Applicants must be able to work a flexible schedule which may at times include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications
- We are seeking a creative and imaginative thinker who can visualize the ultimate guest experience for each event. The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree or Events Management Certification with related experience in event planning and management. Public relations and/or communications are an asset.
- The ideal candidate will be a motivated, highly organized individual with an intense focus on detail, order, and accuracy.
- We are seeking a candidate who has proven experience delivering a high level of client service, who has excellent judgement skills and demonstrates the ability to think clearly and resolve issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be effective in prioritizing work in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Ability to work independently and multi-task with frequent interruptions.
- Applicants must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications and comfortable working in a technology supported environment.
- Applicants must be able to work a flexible schedule which may at times include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Some travel will be required.
