Reporting to the Manager, Project Manager Office (PMO), the Enhancement Delivery Lead, is responsible to plan and manage the overall delivery of enhancement releases. This includes regularly interfacing with business stakeholders and product owners to maintain currency of enhancement priorities and working collaboratively around constraints/conflicts.

The Enhancement Delivery Lead is responsible to support business interests by ensuring releases are delivered on time, on budget and to required quality standards. The Enhancement Delivery Lead ensures releases are properly resourced and coordinates internal and external delivery teams accordingly.

Working collaboratively with their peers in the PMO and across IT they are responsible to support an overall strategy that ensures a well-coordinated roadmap for smooth and timely delivery.

What you'll do

Responsibilities

Enhancement Management: Responsible to work with business stakeholders and clearly understand business needs, drivers, and direction to align initiatives appropriately into enhancement releases. Serve as point of contact between IT and the business/user community, regularly meeting to identify and prioritize business needs. Manage Enterprise Backlog and gather estimates/SOWs from vendors to deliver approved enhancements.

Enhancement Delivery: Work with internal and external delivery teams to ensure enhancements are delivered on time and on budget with the appropriate levels of quality. Responsible to secure all resources needed for delivery and coordinate with the necessary parties for optimal use of available capacity.

System Enhancement Triage: Triage submitted system enhancement requests according to business impacts and available budget; Validate accuracy of requests and requirements; Ensure proper approvals are provided; Clarify timing requirements with business requestor.

Reporting: Responsible to develop and lead regular reporting on delivery health of the enhancement portfolio. Actively manage business -level communications and report on status utilizing tools and templates available. Standard reporting KPI's and metrics to include delivery phases, upcoming milestones, budget allocations, risks, issues, etc.

Process and Governance: Guide the continued development and improvement of PMO standards, policies, processes and templates as it relates to enhancement delivery. Responsible for adherence to these policies and standards by business and cross functional delivery teams.

Leadership: Communicate and champion enhancement priorities and requirements necessary to execute AL's Enhancement Portfolio. Develop strong relationships with business stakeholders and end-users in representing the best interests of their delivery needs. Foster a collaborative work environment with internal and external delivery teams.

What you'll need

Qualifications

  • University Degree in Information Technology, Engineering or Business related fields
  • 3+ years' experience successfully leading multiple initiatives involving cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of Project Management methodologies and tools
  • Proven analytical, issue resolution and negotiation skills
  • Detail oriented, multi-tasking with ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands to targeted deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to build and manage strong and effective relationships in an outsourced environment
  • Ability to manage time and workload effectively, including planning, organizing, prioritizing and attention to detail
  • Great people skills
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrated success as a self-starter
  • PMP Certification would be considered an asset
