  • Frontend: Modern JavaScript stack using Vue.js, Pinia and Tailwind.
  • Backend: Python, Flask, Celery, Kafka, SQLAlchemy.
  • Databases: MySQL (Aurora), ElasticSearch.
  • Infrastructure: GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Terraform, AWS.

In this position, you will play a key role in the overall success of Dash Hudson by planning, managing, and monitoring engineering functions for a product team, working closely with a Product Manager and a Designer. You will be responsible for overseeing various engineering projects, processes and timelines, along with making any necessary adjustments to ensure successful completion.

What you'll do

Responsibilities

As an Engineering Manager, you will:

  • Coach and mentor team members.
  • Conduct regular 1x1 meetings with your team.
  • Build career path plans for development.
  • Be an engineering leader for your team.
  • Build and maintain solid working relationships with your product and design counterparts.
  • Plan and estimate projects, overseeing timeline and delivery.
  • Make technical decisions and resolve conflicts.
  • Participate in code reviews.
  • Participate in hiring interns and new developers, their onboarding and training.
  • Manage team performance.

What you'll need

Qualifications

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 1+ years of experience in a manager role.
  • 4+ years of experience doing hands-on software development.
  • Experience building SaaS products.
  • Familiarity with our tech stack or similar.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
