We have a position for an Electronics Test Technician to work as part of a team at Nautel.

What you'll do

Responsibilities

Testing and troubleshooting of AM / FM transmitters & associated equipment

Testing and troubleshooting field returns, as well as researching information on product systems, subsystems etc. as necessary

Maintaining and/or establishing troubleshooting and repair/retest info for future reference

Working with Customer Service and Engineering to resolve issues

Working as integral part of test room/customer service team

Working to meet standard for Customer Service repair turn-around times

Looking for process and continuous improvement opportunities

What you'll need

Qualifications

Candidates should, as a minimum, have a technical college diploma as an Electronic Engineering Technician/Technologist and:

Ideally, have experience working with high voltages (up to 600 VAC/1000 VDC), analog, digital and power electronic circuits and systems, RF systems (MF, HF, VHF)

Have the ability to use electronic test equipment

Have the ability to test and troubleshoot to the component level

Functional Tasks will include: Gripping, grasping, pinching, fine finger movement, both hands;

Pushing; Reaching, elbow & wrist flexion; Twisting; Shoulder and neck flexion; Walking, standing, sitting, squatting; Climbing and working from ladders; Movement of goods; Some writing and keyboard use; Lifting up to 25kg; Pushing & pulling force >25kg.

You should also:

Have the ability to work on your own initiative and also operate well within a team environment;

Be able to demonstrate proven communication skills and a willingness to learn and work across different areas of responsibility;

Be able to troubleshoot and provide solutions to problems;

Be willing to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities.
