Office of the Vice-Provost Academic Administration
The Vice-Provost Academic Administration office oversees UNB's academic planning and support, program quality assurance and accreditation, instructor contracts, and faculty labour relations.

Standard Work Hours: Mon - Fri | 8:15 am - 4:30 pm |36.25 hours per week

Salary Range: $68,373 - $95,723 per annum


Reporting to the Vice-Provost Academic Administration, this position works to support the Vice-Provost and the ongoing strategic projects and initiatives, remaining focused on the mission of the offices portfolio and achieving UNBs objectives in alignment with the strategic plan.

  • Works with the Vice-Provost to develop, coordinate and prioritize strategic goals and activities.
  • Participate in discussion with other senior leaders to formulate strategies as they relate to the development of the Vice-Provosts portfolio.
  • Work with faculty, staff, and students to transform the Vice-Provost's vision into tangible outcomes.
  • Manage large scale projects.
  • Connect people, ideas, and resources to maximize the university's impact on surrounding communities.
  • Participate in the coordination of events related to the Vice-Provost portfolio.
  • Provide advice on confidential matters of a sensitive nature.
  • Proactively identify potential challenges before they arise and work to problem solve and find solutions.


  • Undergraduate degree supplemented with project management and/or public relations courses or experience.
  • 5 years experience in a university environment or in a professional office. Experience with effective communication in dealing with clients, donors and executives. Experience leading a team and managing critical and sensitive issues.

  • Proficiency within Microsoft Office.
