NBCC is about to embark on an unprecedented renewal of its information technology infrastructure and governance in support of NBCC's business objectives and strategic plan and is currently seeking a dynamic and competent change leader for the position of Director of Information Technology.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Vice President of Finance and Administration, the Director of Information Technology (IT) is responsible for leading a multi-disciplinary and highly skilled team and the College's efforts in creating and supporting innovative strategies to help transform NBCC's service delivery.

Your key responsibilities in this position will include:

· Support NBCC's business objectives and the strategic plan by leading transformational IT projects and governance to increase value-add through IT solutions, systems and services.

· Lead a team responsible for the maintenance, enhancement and support of information technology (IT) services including managers responsible for IT infrastructure, application development and analytics and helpdesk/IT service management.

· Build and maintain NBCC's and Information Technology's culture of trust, integrity and creative thinking by demonstrating personal integrity, following through on commitments, enabling continuous improvement, and acting in accordance with the organization's values.

· Maintain and enhance relationships with internal and external stakeholders and partners through open, transparent communication, effective negotiation and conflict resolution.

· Lead, empower, engage and develop employees so they might achieve their goals as well as those of the College through high performance and effective management.

· Lead change management efforts for the unit and collaborate with other units to support change management activities.

· Prepare operational budgets for the unit, monitor expenditures, and take action to maintain operations within the approved budget.

What you'll need

Qualifications

Qualifications required for this opportunity include a University Degree in a relevant discipline such as Business Administration, Computer Science or Management Information Systems and a minimum of eight (8) years of recent and related progressive experience OR a two-year Diploma in in a relevant discipline such as Business Administration or Information Technology and a minimum of ten (10) years of recent and related progressive experience. Related experience must include at least five (5) years in a significant managerial capacity (including human and financial resources).

The successful candidate must possess project management skills, a proven ability to complete projects on time and within budget, an in-depth knowledge of Microsoft systems including but not limited to MS Teams, MS SharePoint, and Office 365.

Experience in managerial and leadership roles in the post-secondary education sector; roles leading business transformation initiatives; customer relationship management; change management; IT service management (ITSM) / IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL); incorporating the principles of Lean Six Sigma into daily operations; and enterprise systems such as Cherwell, PeopleSoft and/or D2L Brightspace are all considered assets.

Written and spoken competence in English is required.

Other combinations of education and experience may be considered as equivalent. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be raised.

NBCC offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package that includes a competitive salary for this position ranging from $94,926 to $106,886.

The New Brunswick Community College (NBCC) is committed to being flexible in its operations and to the wellbeing of its employees. This includes considering reasonable requests for alternative work arrangements, when feasible, to meet the changing needs of the College and its students. In order to ensure our student needs are met, flexible work arrangements cannot extend beyond the New Brunswick border. NBCC employees must be living in a location that is a reasonable distance from one of our seven work locations around the Province.
