The Opportunity
As the Director of Engineering your role is to manage and oversee the technical delivery of Swept’s technology. You will lead Swept’s team of software developers in the selection and implementation of tools and assets for key technology subjects required for customer success.
You are an experienced leader that can manage dynamic teams to solve complex technical problems. You have a strong engineering background and have applied your skills to the technologies used in web and mobile application development. You are passionate about your work, bringing energy and enthusiasm to your work and the teams you work with.

What you'll do
Responsibilities
- Motivate, and mentor your team on a daily basis
- Design and development of professional development plans for all Swept developers
- Manage the development team in the implementation of architectural and infrastructure designs
- Oversee adherence to development standards
- Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders to plan and prioritize development delivery
- Manage and interface with technical leads for partnership initiatives.
- Contribute to the development of the web and mobile platform
What you'll need
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years in web software development
- Minimum of 5 years in a management and leadership role
- Experience working with Agile and XP development methodologies
- Experience with DevOps, source control (git) and release management
- Strong experience and familiarity with processes and tools around technologies such as JavaScript, AngularJS, PHP and Cordova
- Demonstrate success in leading a with vision to transform internal systems and operations as needed to accomplish defined business objectives
- Ability to manage the development team’s deliverables to agreed deadlines
- Ability to anticipate internal communication needed to properly set and reset stakeholder expectations
