The Opportunity

We are inviting applications from self-directed and detail-oriented professionals for the role of Director, Internal Audit. Reporting to the Audit and Finance Committee, with day-to-day oversight from the Chief Executive Officer, the Director, Internal Audit leads the Internal Audit function. The successful candidate will provide strategic direction to the Internal Audit function and discharge the internal audit responsibilities outlined within the Internal Audit Charter.

Your key activities will include:

  • Provide leadership and oversight to all internal audit activities.
  • Develop and execute Provident10's audit plan based on risk assessments and organizational priorities.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, including the internal Audit Charter.
  • Identify financial and internal controls across the organization and offer mitigating solutions to any gaps.
  • Communicate key findings, recommendations, and insights and results of Internal Audit activities to senior leadership and the Audit and Finance Committee.
  • Oversee the management and administration of the audit management software.
  • Stay informed of emerging trends, developments, and best practices in internal audit through ongoing professional development and networking opportunities.
  • Supervise and mentor audit team.
  • Provide education and training to Provident10 employees on the value and importance of Internal Audit.

What you'll bring to the role

  • Completion of a post secondary degree in Business, as well as a professional designation in accounting and/or internal audit.
  • At least 10 years of progressive, relevant experience.
  • Equivalent qualifications will be considered.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, with keen analytical skills.
  • Proven experience developing internal audit strategies, and strong knowledge of globally accepted internal audit standards.
  • Ability to communicate and present key findings from internal audit activities to the Audit & Finance Committee.

Salary Range: $116,100 - $163,500
