FACULTY OF BUSINESS: AXIS SALES ACCELERATOR
The UNB Saint John Faculty of Business (FOB) offers a 12-month intensive MBA program and a Bachelor of Business program with industry backed specializations, numerous experiential learning opportunities, and a CEWIL accredited co-op program. The Axis Sales Accelerator is the University of New Brunswick's flagship accelerator for entrepreneurs, both student and non-student. The Axis Sales Accelerator is a 6- month intensive program that helps early-stage startups acquire Lead Growth Customers, accelerate founder led sales, and raise their seed round. High potential graduates are eligible for a multi-year residency which includes continued investment readiness services, and founder-led sales support.

Standard Work Hours: Mon - Fri | 8:15 am - 4:30 pm | 36.25 hours per week
Mon - Fri | 8:00 am - 4:00 pm | 36.25 hours per week (Summer Hours)
Salary Range: $80,898 - $110,256 per annum
YOUR FOCUS
Reporting to the Dean of Business, the Director is responsible for managing and implementing the strategic direction of the Axis Sales Accelerator and it's 4 major responsibilities including, founder facing activities, partner facing activities, governance & management activities and marketing & promotions activities.
- Manage the Axis Founder Pathway, including founder recruitment, onboarding, retention, service delivery, and alumni transition.
- Guide members through internal programming and facilitate mentor and coaching meetings as needed.
- Lead the delivery, performance, and outcomes of Axis programming, including the Axis Sales Accelerator and Axis Residency.
- Design, implement, and continuously enhance the Axis suite of programs.
- Recruit, onboard, and retain program participants, facilitation team members, and guest subject matter experts.
- Secure sustainable funding sources and develop funding opportunities to support long-term program growth.
- Prepare and manage quarterly funder reports, funding proposals, narrative reports, output statements, and public-facing content.
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with funders, the University of New Brunswick Saint John, entrepreneurship and economic development organizations, private-sector partners, program delivery partners, and regional investment partners.
- Develop, monitor, and maintain the Axis KPI dashboard and sustainability plan.
- Maintain key program documentation, including the Axis offer sheet and project plan.
- Support the establishment and ongoing operation of the Axis advisory board, including the development of roles and responsibilities materials.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage quarterly advisory board meetings, including agenda development, member participation, meeting documentation, and action planning.
- Facilitate mentor and coaching connections between advisory board members and Axis participants.
- Lead marketing and communications initiatives focused on attracting founders, partners, and investment opportunities.
- Build and promote the Axis brand in collaboration with the University of New Brunswick marketing team.
- Design, coordinate, and deliver events that support program objectives and stakeholder engagement.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of direct Entrepreneur Development/Entrepreneurship experience including managing client outcomes, managing strategic partnerships, and managing and delivering entrepreneur development programs.
Additional Strengths
- Demonstrated ability in client relationship management.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Experience writing and managing proposals greater than $400,000.
- A core understanding of the Economic Development landscape.
