Atlantic Lottery (AL) are seeking two (2) Digital Product Specialists. One focused on Platforms while the other will focus on Web/Mobile. Location is flexible within Atlantic Canada with occasional travel to Moncton, NB.

As one of our Digital Product Specialists, you will be responsible for supporting the product development effort that turns the product and platform visions into actionable and valuable delivery. You will support cross-divisional teams through all stages of the product lifecycle in building the next iteration of our market leading web and mobile platforms by helping turn the product/platform vision into an actionable backlog. You will work closely with the IT teams to advocate for the players' needs and support the adherence of best practices and continued evolution of our Digital properties to delight and engage our players. Also, working closely with the Product Managers and other business owners to understand how to help drive continued growth in our channel by supporting the areas of growth and opportunity.

What you'll do

Responsibilities

Player Experience: Complete the definition of all features and support product development, in partnership with development, architecture and various other stakeholders.

Understand our players and market: Communicate our players' needs to all teams by turning player pain points and desires into actionable user stories and requirements.

Strategy: Play an active part in executing our vision, strategy and roadmap that meets player needs and delivers strong returns against corporate priorities. Execute prioritization processes that ensure the delivery of improvements that delight the player.

Assess business value: Support the assessment of features, functionality and business opportunities. Complete the proper prioritization of projects and the product backlog against established value metrics.

Optimize: Research and analyze feedback from players and stakeholders and provide feedback to our UX and Product Management teams. Monitor our performance against key metrics to identify customer pain points and best opportunities for growth. Live a culture of continuous improvement.

Lead and Collaborate: Be a champion for alc.ca and back-office platforms. Bring the product vision to life and inject passion and energy into our projects. Build and maintain effective, collaborative relationships throughout the organization. Gain an understanding of the technical complexity affecting our digital properties.

What you'll need

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Diploma and/or Bachelor degree in commerce, marketing or related field.
  • 2+ years of marketing experience or similar role.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills required.
  • Understanding of information systems and/or web/eCommerce sites.
  • Must be 19 years of age or older to apply.

Professional Skills:

  • Experience growing in a fast-paced, high growth environment, with the ability to adapt to evolving priorities, resources, and business needs.
  • Strong analytical skills and proven experience with data-driven automation and insights.
  • Strong communication skills and experience working with large, cross-functional teams.
  • Comfortable and confident working with both the technical and business sides of an organization.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Technical enough to understand implementation processes and be capable of wading into the details but can also drive from the business aspect.
  • Ability to gather and impactfully present problems and solutions.
  • Support the team in maintaining a portfolio-oriented product approach for balancing bold, high-upside bets with quick wins.

Assets:

  • Experience monitoring and analyzing digital properties/platforms and performance metrics, generating reports and insights.
  • Experience in product definition and business roadmaps with proven experience, using datasets to drive business decisions for a set of products, tools, or services.
  • Agile Development and Waterfall methodologies (Scrum) and other IT delivery methodologies.
  • Funding, verification, authentication systems or Fraud controls.
  • Project and UX software (JIRA, etc.).
  • Experience as a Product Owner on Mobile App Scrum Team and/or Web Content Management System (WCMS) Scrum Team.
