As the Digital Marketing Specialist, you'll have the unique opportunity to shape our digital future and play a pivotal role in how the CAA brand is perceived online and within our communities. In addition to activating our content strategy and creating engaging content that fosters human connection and drives engagement, you will also be responsible for attending and coordinating community events. In this dynamic role, you'll be at the forefront of our community events, bridging the gap between online engagement and real-world interaction.

This role reports directly to the Director of Digital Marketing and is integral to our social media presence and community engagement strategy. The successful candidate be based in either Saint John, NB or Halifax, NS, and will enjoy the benefits of a flexible, hybrid work environment.

What you'll do

Responsibilities

Content Creation: Create compelling and visually appealing content through photography, videography, and graphic design to showcase CAA Atlantic's events and services.

Content Planning: Develop and execute a content calendar that aligns with the company's marketing and communication objectives, ensuring consistency and timely delivery of posts.

Social Media Management: Monitor and manage CAA Atlantic's social media accounts, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn, ensuring a consistent brand voice and tone.

Boosting and Advertising: Support as required with boost and advertise posts to reach a wider and targeted audience, optimizing ad campaigns for maximum ROI.

Trend Analysis: Stay up to date with the latest social media trends, algorithms, and emerging platforms to ensure CAA Atlantic's social media strategies remain relevant and effective.

Engagement and Community Building: Foster engagement with the audience by responding to comments, messages, and mentions promptly, and actively build and maintain a positive online community.

Content Editing: Edit and enhance multimedia content for social media platforms using relevant software tools.

Performance Tracking: Monitor key social media metrics and generate reports to assess the effectiveness of social media strategies. Make data-driven recommendations for improvements.

Events Management: Coordinate and/or attend community events, sponsorships, and promotional activities to represent CAA Atlantic. Collaborate with the marketing team and branch staff to ensure the successful integration of social media strategies with event marketing efforts.

What you'll need

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, or a related field or a combination of education and experience.
  • Proven experience in social media management and content creation.
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms, algorithms, and trends.
  • Proficiency in using social media management tools such as Sprout Social.
  • Familiarity with Meta (formerly Facebook) platforms for advertising.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creativity and an eye for visual content.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for staying up to date with the latest industry trends and technology.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in social media management, event coordination, or a related field.
  • Bilingual in French and English would be an asset.
  • Ability to travel within Atlantic Canada to attend events.
