The Chapman Group is assisting their client, Food Island Partnership Inc. in finding their next Digital Marketing Specialist.

Reporting to the Director of Communications and Marketing of the Food Island Partnership, the Digital Marketing Specialist will lead and support the growth of Canada's Food Island by promoting food entrepreneurs, farmers/producers, gift cards, culinary destination highlights, and core products - oysters, mussels, potatoes, beef, lobster, dairy.

Note: This is a "term" position that is active to March 31, 2026, with potential to extend.

What you'll do

Responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Digital Strategy:

  • Create, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive digital marketing strategy aligned with Food Island Partnership's goals for The Social Shell, Certified Island Beef & Canada's Food Island brands.
  • Create engaging and on-brand content calendar for various social media platforms, including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.

Ideation/Content Creation:

  • Generate high-quality and visually appealing content, including graphics, images, and videos, to showcase the culinary experiences and food products of Canada's Food Island.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to gather content and ensure consistent brand messaging.

Community Engagement:

  • Foster and grow a vibrant online community by responding to comments, messages, and mentions across social media platforms.
  • Identify and engage with influencers and brand advocates to amplify the reach and impact of Food Island Partnership.

Analytics and Reporting:

  • Monitor and analyze social media performance using analytics tools.
  • Create and present regular reports on key metrics, trends, and insights to inform decision-making and optimize digital marketing strategies.

Campaign Management:

  • Plan and execute social media campaigns to promote events, festivals, and special initiatives related to Canada's Food Island.
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to integrate digital marketing into broader marketing campaigns.

Brand Consistency:

  • Ensure consistent brand representation and messaging across all social media channels.
  • Uphold and enhance the reputation of Food Island Partnership through authentic and positive interactions.

Team Player:

  • Contribute as a team member to support the overall success of Food Island Partnership.

What you'll need

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in digital marketing management and content creation, preferably in the food or hospitality industry.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing trends, algorithms, and best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Project management and leadership experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in graphic design tools and video editing software.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
  • Passion for food and a keen interest in promoting culinary experiences.
  • Attention to detail for achieving accuracy, consistency, and thoroughness.
  • Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks and work within established deadlines and time constraints.
  • Be personable and operate with a high degree of integrity, transparency, and professional values.

Working Environment

Typical office environment, as well as attendance at off-site locations to attend meetings on behalf of the organization when necessary.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is between $60,000 - $70,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience.
