Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of Advancement, the Development Officer works as part of a team responsible for development and implementation of donor development strategies that foster positive long-term relationships with NBCC. The successful incumbent will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, cultivating and soliciting appropriate prospective donors; drafting donor correspondence, gift agreements, briefing notes, proposals and other written materials as needed; developing and successfully achieving fundraising goals; assisting in the planning and execution of a coordinated program for donor relations and working collaboratively to enhance the relationship between donors and the College. Additionally, the Development officer maintains strong working relations with leaders at all campuses, attending community engagement and other committees as required; and advising on resource development and effective awareness of College funding needs and programs.

What you'll need

Qualifications

Required qualifications for this opportunity include a Diploma in a related field and a minimum of five (5) years of recent and related work experience; OR a Degree in a related field with a minimum of three (3) years of recent and related work experience. Candidate must demonstrate a passion for fundraising and effective donor stewardship; and successful participation in the implementation of fundraising activities with a proven record of accomplishment.

Experience in capital campaigns, annual giving strategies and event management will be considered as assets.

Preference may be given to candidates who have experience working in a post-secondary environment and with a CFRE designation.

Other combinations of education and experience may be considered as equivalent. Subject to the response to this competition, the minimum qualifications may be raised.

NBCC offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package, that includes a competitive salary for this position ranging from $49,374 to $69,056 annually.

Occasional travel within New Brunswick is required and candidates must possess a valid Class 5 driver's license.
