Emergency Medical Care Inc. (EMC) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Medavie Health Services that manages and operates ground ambulance, air medical transport and the medical communications operations in Nova Scotia through a performance-based contract with the provincial government's Emergency Health Services (EHS) division and the Department of Health and Wellness. As well, EMC operates TeleHealth 811 medical communications for Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island for the Department of Health.

EMC delivers a high-quality pre-hospital care program and TeleHealth service to Nova Scotians each and every day. We achieve this through the more than 1,400 employees who work with us including highly-trained paramedics, nurses, medical communication officers and support staff.

Reporting to the Manager of Operations, the Data Entry and Tracking Administrator will make contact with travelers from outside of the Atlantic Provinces who are entering into the province to ensure Public Health directives are being followed.

As a Data Entry and Tracking Administrator you will be responsible to track and follow up with non-Atlantic travels using our phone systems and computer software. This will involve booking follow ups, maintaining contact information and reporting to the Manager any travelers not adhering to Public Health directives during the 14-day mandatory quarantine period.

  • Books appointments for ongoing call backs within a 14day period
  • Access and navigates through computer software
  • Implements continuous quality improvement principles by serving callers in a respectful, courteous, confidential and caring manner.
  • Provides service in a manner consistent with privacy policy

What you'll need

Qualifications

Experience and qualifications:

As the successful candidate you will have completed high school (or equivalent) and have a minimum of one (1) year relevant call centre customer service experience. You will have strong computer skills in basic computer programs such as MS Word, data entry and spreadsheets, as well as strong telecommunication skills Having the ability to connect and establish rapport through telephone contact is demonstrated through you strong communication and interpersonal skills. Diplomacy and tact when dealing with the public is imperative as is the ability to work as a team player. Bilingualism is an asset.
