Halifax Water is hiring a Cross Connection Control Technologist as we continue to advance our Engineering Team.

As the Cross Connection Control Technologist, reporting to the Approvals Coordinator, you will be responsible for the coordination, implementation, enforcement, and assistance in the development of the Halifax Regional Water Commission Cross Connection Control (CCC) Program..

To do this job, you need to have:

  • post-Secondary diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, or equivalent engineering courses
  • minimum five years of related experience within a municipal engineering environment in
    • construction inspection
    • and/or related engineering department activities.
  • be a registered member, or eligible for membership, as a Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) with TechNova
  • a valid Nova Scotia drivers' license
  • be willing to undertake and maintain:
    • Backflow Prevention Tester Course
    • Cross Connection Control Surveyor/Inspector Course
    • Cross Connection Control Program Manager Course
