The UNB Associated Alumni is an independently incorporated association that was founded in 1870 to promote sound education and advance the interests of the University of New Brunswick. Development & Donor Relations is a unit focused on relationship building and fundraising to support students and advance the interests of the University. Together, we engage our more than 99,000 alumni around the world as well as many partners and friends of UNB in supporting our University.
WHAT WE OFFER
Full-time | 2-year Term | Bi-Campus: Fredericton or Saint John campus | On-campus
Standard Work Hours: Mon - Fri | 8:15 am - 4:30 pm | 36.25 hours per week
Salary Range: $47,352 - $59,190 per annum
YOUR FOCUS
Reporting to the Manager of Advancement, this position supports the interconnected work of the UNB Associated Alumni office and Development & Donor Relations. You will primarily focus on support migration from our current database and related software to a new cloud-based system.
- Work with the Manager of Advancement to clean current data records and map the migration of the new data.
- Collaborate with users, ITS colleagues, experts from Ellucian, and other stakeholders to ensure proper configuration of the new software.
- Collect, extract, transform, load, and analyze data from CRM Advance, Colleague (Informer) and other databases/sources.
- Build, generate, and maintain year-over-year reporting to show progress on long-term goals and inform strategic decisions. Data required will evolve over time, reporting must be consistent yet flexible.
- Act as subject matter expert, continue to develop and expand working knowledge within enterprise reporting solutions with a primary focus on CRM Advance.
- Provide ongoing coaching in proper use of CRM Advance and how to use effectively.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor's degree in a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- 1-3 years experience in SQL and SSRS is required along with the ability to learn other query languages as needed.
- 1-3 years experience extracting, transforming, and present data from multiple sources ideally with a working knowledge of data reporting software such as Tableau or Informer.
- 1-3 years experience in database management, specifically with knowledge of Microsoft dynamics.
Additional Strengths
- Knowledge of Colleague and bulk emailing systems like Spark Post would be considered an asset.
- Must have a willingness and aptitude to continually learn new, or upgrade current, technical skills related to databases, data, reporting, etc.
- Exceptional time management skills with a proven ability to meet firm deadlines and provide quick and accurate responses to requests.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a strong respect for the importance of data integrity and accuracy and sound problem solving skills.
