Despite obstacles – devastating fires, Prohibition, the Great Depression, two world wars, obstructive trade barriers, and bruising competition from breweries 100 times its size – Moosehead is one of the most durable and long lasting companies in Canada.
In continuing our journey of resilience, we are searching for an exceptional Crew Leader. This individual leads every aspect of a packaging team taking complete accountability to achieve our objectives on Safety, Quality, Cost, Productivity and most importantly; People Performance. The role will report to the Director of Packaging and Maintenance.
What you'll do
Responsibilities
- Motivates the packaging team through constant communication with team members.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing employees on the use of all equipment, resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures including Standard Operation Procedures (SOP’s), safety practices, Lean principles including 5S related activities.
- Leads Daily Management Meetings.
- Participates in the development of the production schedule to ensure the optimization of line productivity.
- In conjunction with the Quality Control department ensures strict adherence to our quality standards and procedures.
- Tracks and reports against key objectives.
- Investigates and documents non-conformances leading to the identification of the root cause and then assigning and implementing effective corrective action.
- Has ownership and ultimate accountability for all performance management activities of the team.
- Encourages team to identify, initiate and support continuous improvement activity.
- Ensures that maintenance activities are carried out in accordance to schedules and breakdown maintenance is effective & timely.
- Takes ownership for the proper training of every team member.
What you'll need
Qualifications
- Experience in beverage manufacturing or Consumer Packaged goods overall
- Post-secondary education is required
- Makes safety an absolute priority
- Self-directed with a great deal of ownership attributes
- Adaptable by responding positively to change
- Active listener
- Approachable
- Ability to motivate themselves and others towards achieving results.
- Capable of analyzing information and thinking systematically.
- Skill to solve problems by following processes with extreme discipline.
- Relies on data and evidence to make decisions.
- Welcomes technology and is comfortable with administrative software.
