Our Corporate Services team seeks a Corporate Paralegal to join any of our Halifax, Saint John, Moncton or Fredericton offices in a full-time permanent position. As part of the Corporate Services team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support within our corporate department.
As a Corporate Paralegal, you will be responsible for:
- Processing NB annual renewals for all entity types;
- Preparing annual resolutions;
- Preparing accounts and processing payments related to annual renewals;
- Attending to NB extra provincial and business name registrations and updates;
- Preparing and filing applicable updates with the NB Corporate Registry regarding changes to officers, directors, addresses, attorney for service, etc.; and
- Inputting and maintaining data in the Corporate Services database.
The successful candidate will possess the following skill set:
- The ideal candidate will have a Paralegal or Legal Administration diploma or other related education;
- Minimum one (1) year experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal preferably within the corporate field;
- Exceptional technology skills, with proficiency in all aspects of Microsoft Office and legal billing systems;
- Exceptional communication skills, a special focus on client service and the highest degree of professionalism;
- Exceptional time management; excels in a demanding, fast-paced environment, highly detail-oriented; and,
- Experience with Athennian and knowledge management software and government websites will be considered an asset.
