As Financial Controller, you will oversee the financial health of Remsoft by managing accounting operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing strategic financial insights to support organizational goals. This role combines technical expertise with leadership to ensure robust financial management practices.
The ideal candiate is an experienced financial leader with strong analytical skills, a passion for improving financial processes, and a track record of delivering actionable insights.
What you'll do
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with accounting standards
- Lead the budgeting process and provide regular variance analysis and forecasting.
- Develop and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Manage cash flow, ensuring adequate liquidity to meet operational needs.
- Ensure compliance with tax and statutory regulations; oversee tax return filings.
- Act as the primary contact for external audits and manage the audit process.
- Supervise and develop the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Evaluate and enhance financial systems and processes.
- Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
What you'll need
Qualifications
- Language: Fluent in English.
- Software: Proficiency with financial software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite).
- Years of Experience: Minimum 5 years in financial management roles, preferably as a Financial Controller or similar.
- Education: CPA designation required.
Assets
- Experience in a SaaS, technology, or consulting environment.
- Familiarity with Canadian and international accounting standards.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Location:
We are committed to finding the best candidate and are flexible regarding location. While Remsoft's headquarters are in Fredericton, New Brunswick, we are open to a range of working arrangements for this role. Candidates can work fully remote, in a hybrid setup, or from our office.
