What you'll do

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Business Development Manager, you are responsible for planning and preparing instructional materials; establishing and managing a positive learning environment; instructing and evaluating students; building and sustaining professional relationships with students and colleagues.

Do you have an area of expertise that you'd be interested in teaching? Continuing education courses are taught in the evening, normally from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, one or two evenings a week and can range in length from 15 hours to 45 hours. Continuing education has 2 semesters, a fall term September to December, and a winter term January to April. Classes only run if enrollment is met. Although we are looking for new ideas, we are specifically looking for champions to teach French as a Second Language.

What you'll need

Qualifications

Required qualifications for this opportunity include a high school diploma, or equivalency, plus appropriate experience speaking and/or teaching/tutoring others to speak French. Please include a short description of your expertise using French. Candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet these qualifications on their resumes.

A working knowledge of MS Office is required.

Written and spoken competence in English is required.

Preference may be given to candidates who have experience working in a post-secondary environment and to candidates who have completed at least one-year of education in a post-secondary environment.
