Job Ttpe: Part Time and Casual Positions
Schedule:
- 8 and 12 Hour Day shift
- Evening shift
- Holidays and Weekends
- 12 Hour Night shift
Salary: Up to $24.83 per hour
What you'll do
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Provide personal hygiene, oral care, skin care, toileting, bathing, feeding, dressing and grooming to residents
- Encourage and assist in maintaining the autonomy of residents whenever possible
- Maintain confidentiality concerning residents, staff and organizational information
- Work within the NSAHO Scope of Practice
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents
- Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to facility infection control policies
- Record keeping, updating and maintaining resident charts and reporting any changes in a resident's condition
What you'll need
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current Standard First-Aid and CPR certification
- Successful completion or enrollment in a CCA/PSW program
- Internationally Educated Nurses will be considered!
- Effective communication, both written and verbal in English
- Physically fit/able to perform physically demanding job duties
- Reliable and punctual with a good attendance record
- Registered with the CCA Registry
- Previous experience working in geriatrics is an asset
- Satisfactory Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check (less than 6 months old) is required.
- Experience with Electronic Documentation Software (ex.Point Click Care) is an asset.
