Location: The Admiral Long Term Care Centre - Dartmouth
Title: Continuing Care Assistant (CCA) / Personal Support Worker (PSW)
Schedule: Part Time and Casual Positions
Responsibilities:
Provide personal hygiene, oral care, skin care, toileting, bathing, feeding, dressing and grooming to residents
Encourage and assist in maintaining the autonomy of residents whenever possible
Maintain confidentiality concerning residents, staff and organizational information
Work within the NSAHO Scope of Practice
Provide companionship and emotional support to residents
Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to facility infection control policies
Record keeping, updating and maintaining resident charts and reporting any changes in a resident's condition
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Current Standard First-Aid and CPR certification
Successful completion or enrollment in a CCA/PSW program
Effective communication, both written and verbal in English
Physically fit/able to perform physically demanding job duties
Reliable and punctual with a good attendance record
Registered with the CCA Registry
Previous experience working in geriatrics is an asset

Pay: $19.98-$25.70 per hour
