The Configuration Management Analyst, reporting to the Manager, IT Service Management, is accountable for the execution of all Configuration Management (ITSM) disciplines and practices. This role manages the daily operation of configuration management process in the delivery of IT services. The Configuration Management Analyst is responsible for the integrity of the Configuration Management Data Base with the primary objective of delivering a reliable, trusted, integrated Configuration Management Service. This position is also responsible for the interconnectivity to other ITIL processes, including metrics, measurement and management by utilizing the company's ITSM tool. There is a development component to this role, experience in ITSM toolset coding would be considered an asset.

What you'll do

Responsibilities

  • Daily management of the Configuration Management processes.
  • Accountable for the integrity and accuracy of the data captured in the Configuration Management Data Base (CMDB)
  • Regularly report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) around Configuration Management processes and leads KPI improvement / compliance sessions as required.
  • Responsible for continual service improvement of the ITSM support tool to ensure that the process flows are continuously reviewed and optimized.
  • Lead collaborative discussions with all IT team members (internal & external) to identify and analyze data captured in the CMDB for validity and usability.
  • Lead collaborative discussions with all IT team members (internal & external) to identify and analyze gaps between current processes and the optimal state, designing new processes, identifying / developing process performance measures and planning the transition to new processes.
  • Enforce compliance with IT governance following ITIL frameworks / guidelines for internal and external support teams.
  • Development and implementation of ITIL or Business workflow within the ITSM toolset.

What you'll need

Qualifications

  • You have a degree in Computer Science (or equivalent).
  • You have an ITIL Foundation (or greater) certification.
  • You have experience in development of processes and workflow within an ITSM toolset.
  • You have significant experience working with ITSM tool sets.
  • You are detail orientated.
  • You understand very complex operational and technical concepts and technologies.
  • You can guide / train all levels of users on complex technical systems.
  • You have the ability to work autonomously and make decisions based on corporate policy and guidelines within your area(s) of expertise
  • You have 6+ years of experience in information technology with 3+ years’ experience in configuration management and other core ITIL roles.
