NBCC is currently seeking a dynamic and competent individual for the position of Community College Instructor.

What you'll do

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Department Head, as a member of the faculty team, you are responsible for ensuring planning and preparing instructional materials and resources; establishing and managing a positive learning environment; instructing and evaluating students; building and sustaining professional relationships with students, colleagues, community partners, and stakeholders; as well as perform other related duties.

Specific instructional areas and courses within the program may include but are not limited to: Business Analysis Fundamentals, Modeling (Business Process, Data, & Use Case), Quality Assurance, Business Case Development, Project Management, Risk and Change Management, Facilitation, Negotiation, and Decision-Making Skills, Data Analysis and Presentations, Fundamentals of Information Technology and Systems, and User Interface Design. The successful incumbent will be willing and able to integrate technology and active student learning techniques into teaching practices.

What you'll need

Qualifications

Required qualifications for this opportunity include a bachelor's degree, preferably in a business or an information systems field, and a minimum of three (3) years of recent and related experience; or a two-year diploma in a business or information systems field, and a minimum of five (5) years of recent and related experience. Experience must include recent and progressive business, process or information systems analysis responsibilities in areas such as process improvement, project management, or defining business goals and solutions to achieve business results.

Candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet these qualifications on their resumes.

Written and spoken competence in English is required as well as strong MS Office skills.

Preference may be given to candidates who have experience teaching in a post-secondary environment as well as to candidates who possess International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) Quality Testing certification or a Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) designation.

Other combinations of education and experience may be considered as equivalent. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be raised.

NBCC offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package that includes a competitive salary for this position ranging from is $1,993 to $2,808 bi-weekly. Successful candidates may be eligible for a higher maximum step, up to $3,067 bi-weekly, based on their level of post-secondary education. This position is a unionized position where the terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the New Brunswick Union of Public and Private Employees collective agreement (Education - Instructional Group) for the College.
