NBCC is currently seeking a dynamic and competent individual for the position of Community College Instructor, Business Administration. This is a term position from August 2018 to AprilĀ 2019.

What you'll do

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Department Head, as a member of the faculty team, you are responsible for ensuring planning and preparing instructional materials and resources; establishing and managing a positive learning environment; instructing and evaluating students; building and sustaining professional relationships with students, colleagues, community partners, and stakeholders; as well as other related duties.

Specific instructional areas and courses in the Business Administration programs may include, but not be limited to: Microsoft Office, Communications, Strategic Management, Project Management and Business Law as well as other courses in the Business Administration program. The successful incumbent will be willing and able to integrate technology and active student learning techniques into teaching practices. You will also plan, evaluate and monitor student practicum placements.

Qualifications

Required qualifications for this opportunity include a two-year Diploma in a Business Administration Program with a minimum of five (5) years of recent and related experience; OR a Business Administration Degree and a minimum of three (3) years of recent and related experience.

Candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet these qualifications on their resumes.

A comprehensive knowledge of MS Office Suite is required. Written and spoken competence in English is required.

Preference may be given to candidates with experience working in a post-secondary, and/or candidates with experience working in a financial/investment industry environment.

Other combinations of education and experience may be considered as equivalent. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be raised.

NBCC offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package that includes a competitive salary for this position ranging from $1,973 to $2,780 bi-weekly. Successful candidates may be eligible for a higher maximum step, up to $3,036 bi-weekly, based on their level of post-secondary education. This position is a unionized position where the terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the New Brunswick Union of Public and Private Employees collective agreement (Education, Instructional Group) for the College.
